Short+Sweet

Mother’s day comes and gone. This time, it was a simple and easy-free celebration. No flowers. No cards. No diamonds.

We started off the morning with hugs and kisses, and French toast on the table, then lounging on couch in the sunny afternoon, watching our all time favorite movie- The Sound of Music, it made mi mama giggled and chuckled like a young girl again- while waiting for the sweet fragrance of chocolate banana cake to be filled in and out of the kitchen; Dwelling ourselves in delightful seafood over at our regular makan place at Teluk Gong, a 45 minutes drive away from home.

My mom taught me this- when you grow older, you will find the greatest contentment within the simplest thing in life; for now you are young, don’t take the simplest thing for granted.
