Let’s get the ball rolling

Rather the mundane stuffs of going movies and mall, we wanted an all nice and sticky Saturday. Somewhere close to Mother Nature yet accessible via public transport, and not too far away from the city. That was what we wanted to do, and it was a tricky one.

As cute as we are, we declared that weekend as environment friendly day! We took the public transports, hopped from LRT to monorail, and spent most of time walking! We even resisted the thought of taking a cab, speaking of perseverance here :) More, we were literally screaming all the way while crossing a FOUR lanes road! I can tell you, with the cars’ speeding rate, it scared the shit out of me. What’s really funny was after crossing, a cop was there staring at our highly risky act from the opposite side of road. And we said, “If he ever wanted to fine us, he will need to cross all the four lanes just like us!” Hah.

And there, we reached Titiwangsa Lake with no broken arms and legs and were more than ready for orbing!

Imagine yourself strapped in a giant transparent ball, yes, one of those hamster ball. That, is orbing- it has been around for some time, but still pretty much an unknown among us. The ride lasted for 30 seconds, a length of 70meter and it rolled down on a gentle slope. Looks casual, but when you are inside the giant ball, it is a whole new different world. I would say the price is pretty affordable for thrill seekers out there, definitely worth giving it a try!
I tried out the wet orbing, and I looked like a soak hamster coming out from washing machine! If you are not a water person, there is always the dry orbing. And if you are looking for more rolling and kicking, apparently there is a longest ride at Gemas, Negeri Sembilan with 250meters long!

(Oh, and here’s the link for more details

It was definitely a breath of fresh air for city folks like us. It is never easy for the sixers to do this sort of thing on a regular basis. So, we can only be grateful when we have the chance to celebrate life and friendship with the wonderful people.

But we know there is always more to come, with our attempt of trying out sling shot and hiking someday. And I know just what I want for my 21st!
