Road Trip

I don’t know how to begin, where to start, what to write, and when to stop. Apparently, it has too much to write about my road trip to Cameron.

Lately my post has been flooded with pictures, lots of them which I find it a little overwhelming, not? It supposed to be 40% visual and 60% text. But again, a tale without illustration is silent.

Maybe I should start with my sun burn. I always, I repeat…ALWAYS thought that Cameron is a perfect escape from the hustle bustle of city life, getting in touch with Mother Nature, getaway from scorching heat and indulging in cool breeze. Everything turned out what I though to be except for the latter one. Can you actually believe that I got sun burn from Cameron? Of all the places, Cameron?! Yet I had a hard time transforming myself to a tanned babe in Langkawi. Berserk as it sounds, must be global warming eh? Till now I still own the evident of tanner complexion and skin peeling off.

Starbucks can be found in every corner of Klang Valley. No big deal. Yet we screamed for joy the moment we spotted a Starbucks outlet in the town of Tanah Rata. Staying in a town without any sort of entertainments or night life, times seemed crawling pass us. And Starbucks was a perfect place for us to play, drink and eat. Basically just to kill time.

During our last night there, we had this idea of having our very own strawberry club. Switching the lights on and off in hope to get the special effect, playing roles of deejay and bouncers…and we are not even drunk yet!! Obviously our plan did not work out, we the headed to a pathetic looking bistro for boozing. Not to mention the prices of drink there were throat cutting.

Amidst all the fun, nothing beats the experience of hitchhiking. Please don’t ever try that in KL. We were desperately needed a ride from BOH tea plantation to Beringchang, and knowing that getting a cab will take forever, hence the idea of hitchhiking. 7 of us were crashed at the back of the 4x4 yellow storm Mitsubishi truck, stepping on each other feet and squashing against one another. The road was bumpy and steep, our heads were spinning wild, our visual were partially hazy, and our laughers lasted from the hill top to foot hill. It was indeed an enjoyable ride.

Aahhh..

A big thank you to the pak cik and mak cik

Apart from the unusual stints, we did have the usual what- tourists- will- do activities. Just to make the story short, we had steamboat for dinner, visited cactus valley, tea plantation, strawberry farm and what not.
