Of make-up, piñata and among the many sweet surprises!

Friends asked me what it is like to be hitting the age of 21. Eer, becoming an adult I guess. Oh should I rephrase, officially an adult! I think I put more effort on planning my 21st birthday more then putting much though on being 21! I would be the lousiest liar if I say I’m not looking forward to the celebration. So just let’s say being 21 is like opening another chapter of my life with the story continues still.

At the year of celebrating my 21 years of life, I learned two things. First, getting a park for a birthday celebration is no peanut task. Either they are too far, too exclusive or too public. And getting the paper work done was even more frustrating. After the much highs and lows, eventually I settled down for TTDI Park. I would say it is pretty neat and decent! With that in mind, I have decided to either build my very own park or marry a land developer :)

Secondly are the relationships that I shared with others. Not just the birds and bees I’m talking about, but family members, best friends, close friends, or merely acquaintances. Indeed I’m blessed. Very much blessed with beautiful friends.

Really, there is so much to talk about on my big 21 celebration.

Let’s see. There is, of course the make-up. I got my make-up done by Jonathan and was sponsored by Artistry. Coincidently my friend was looking for a model to be featured in her make-up demonstration show. With much curiosity and wish of looking all pretty for party, I decided to don a little color on my face. And there, I had my very first make-up done by a male profession! I don’t get pay for advertising but Artistry do plastered really well on my face after 4 hours of being sweaty and sticky.
And of course the many sweet surprises! As I thought the party has ended, and after headed down to Sid’s Pub (Finally! I have always wanted to go there), I would just hit home and have a nice hot shower. It was near midnight, and I was this close to spend my real birthday in the shower room which I sort of did. Hey, a nice hot shower is not that bad! But little do I know my friends have something up their sleeves.

And there, I had another surprise to end the day! My eyes were teary with their thoughtful gestures, the pretty cards, and the great company!
(The cute balloons are enough to make me smile)

The Sixers- whom I loved very much. The bond we shared is remarkable. Everyday is a new day for us, to discover and learn a little more about each other and ourselves. There is always something for us to share, to talk, or simply laugh- well I’m sure we all had a good time laughing at my broken Canto! How we developed this friendship, and what make us friends as real friends never failed to amuse me sometimes.

The Uni-mates. Some I had known for 2 years now, some are whom I just stumbled upon. As we walk down the road, together we will make tons of discoveries, however big or however small. And that, I can tell you, it is what makes the friendship going.

Some are really old friends. When I say old, I really mean old. For at least 5 years. Yet my memory on every single one of them is still fresh in mind. It seems like I just known them yesterday! There’s Zhe, who supported and helped me tremendously while we were in student body. Ling, the one I shared many fond memories with, will soon be flying off to Adelaide pursuing passion of her own. And Ivan, someone who I merely know 5 years back and now, who would have thought we can be this close.

There are friends and loved ones who are across the globe- Chris, Jeanne, Han, YoungLove and Kotts-they are the ones who are far and away.

And there is someone who I'm really grateful of. She is more than just a friend. She is a close friend. With me, she is my twin. My partner in crime. She is the spicy chili in my Tandoori. She is the siren, the drum, the fireworks and the sparkle. She is a wonderful friend with a great big heart and personality. This one is for you, Ser! I hope you know that :)
I wanted a childliked park party with pinata and balloons, and there I had one.
Indeed I am reliving my childhood!
Ohh, meet my new friend- Curly the poney!

p/s: Enjoy! Definitely worth to laugh again when I hit another milestone- 30!
